About the Author
Eva Schmidler enjoys teaching, whether it is Speech Pathology to children with communication and learning disabilities; speechreading to adults with a hearing loss; or tai chi for health and wellness. While teaching, she created and published the board game Fast Progress to aid parents and grandparents in preparing their children for school.
As a child in Texas, her family had a variety of animal pets. As an adult, her love of animals has taken her on an African Safari and visit to the Galapagos. Inspiration for Tiny Makes a Friend came after seeing a picture of two unlikely animals sharing a meal, demonstrating how kindness, sharing and friendship can transcend differences.
Following graduation from the University of Texas, she taught American children for the US Air Force in France and Germany. This experience instilled a love of travel and as a result she has traveled extensively across the globe. She and her husband of 55 years, made their home in California. They currently reside in Georgia to be near their sons and granddaughter.
